Uploading Weight Files

Uploading Weight Files

1. Use of Uploaded Weight records

The Optiweigh system has the ability to accept weight files from other data sources. These can be used to:
  1. Upload visual IDs so that they show in the individual animal reports in the Optiweigh portal;
  2. Upload starting weights (eg weaning weights or induction weights) so that these can used for the ADG calculations in the Optiweigh portal; and
  3. Generate a comparison between Optiweigh weights and yard weights, sale weights or slaughter weights.

2. How to Upload

To upload files go to the client portal and click 'Session Management'.

Then click 'Upload Weights.

On the next page click on the link to the Template Spreadheet. Download the file when prompted, fill it in and then upload it using the box provided.

3. Use of the template

Please follow the instructions on the template carefully and be sure to fill in the details in the top section. Once that is done you can simply copy and paste your animal details into the bottom section.
