The Optiweigh App can be used to get data off the unit when it has no connectivity.
Getting set up for this requires:
1. To have the latest version of the Optiweigh App; and
2. To use the app to update the firmware of the Optiweigh Unit.
Once you are set up the process of getting the data is:
1. Physically going to the unit and using the app to sync the data to your phone; and
2. Disconnecting your phone from the Optiweigh wifi and sending the data to the cloud.
This only applies for units with a control box that has the blue face looking like this:
When the 'Comms' light is red this will indicate no connection. Follow these steps to download the data to your phone.
1. Ensure you have the latest version of the App:
Before going out to the unit check that you have the latest version of the Optiweigh App. The Version number is on the bottom of the home screen and should be 3.1.2 or greater. If not, head to the App Store, search for the Optiweigh App and Update it.
2. Ensure your unit has the latest firmware:
Any units still using SWARM Stellite as at 16 Nov 2024 will need a manual firmware update to enable this function.
3. Downloading the Data:
When you are at the Optiweigh unti turn off Mobile Data on your phone then open the Optiweigh App, click on 'Unit Maintenance' and connect to the unit wifi. For detailed instructions refer to this article: Using the App to Check Your Unit
Once connected click on the 'Sync Data' button, and then on the next page click on 'Get Data From Unit'
Once the data has downloaded to your phone you can see the file list by clicking 'View Data'. NO OTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED ON THIS PAGE.
4. Uploading the Data to the Cloud
For the data to be available it has to be uploaded from your phone to the cloud. Once you have disconnected from the Optiweigh wifi and have internet service just click on 'Send Data to Cloud'.
Once your data has been processed it will be available to view on the app or Optiweigh web portal.
