Optiweigh 4G Swap Out

How to convert your Optiweigh unit from Satellite connectivity to 4G connectivity.

1.Connect to your Optiweigh app.

2. Check your unit is weighing properly.

3. Remove the antenna cover.
Remove the cover using a 4mm hex key. Unscrew this antenna and replace with the new antenna, ensuring it is hand tight. Replace the plastic cover. 
      

4. Attach the new antenna.
Attach the new antenna whip provided onto the jack and put the antenna cover back on. Make sure the antenna whip is screwed on tight
 

5. Install the new WIC2 
Screw in the new 4G WIC2 box. Plug leads back into the appropriate ports, ensure the power plug is last to be plugged in. 
Ensure that the "Comms" light returns to green after one minute of being powered up. Go to your phone's WiFi and ensure the Optiweigh is connected.
   

6. Recalibrate 
It is essential you know your own weight before recalibrating.
Click 'Calibrate'. Then click 'Zero' and wait five seconds before standing on the platform. Stand on the platform and wait ten seconds then enter your weight and click 'ok'.  Step off the platform and check the unit weight goes back to zero. 
  

7. Return to us 
Return previous WIC2 and antenna whip in the box provided. In the packing slip there will be a return label please seal the packing slip and post the box back to us. 

Please get in touch with us once the new WIC2 has been installed, to ensure it is assigned to you account preventing data from getting lost.
